This side-table was part of our first collection where we investigated the relationship between an object's presence, its functionality and abstract creature-like aesthetics. Our exploration of this piece centered around the notion: what if an object possesses unexpected anomalies that challenge its own functionality, at what point does it cease to be recognized as a table but instead becomes a character of its own?
